Clearly we disagree in our definitions of chastity, but I want to point out that we don’t know the cause of sexuality. We have a pretty good idea that it comes from a mix of nature/nurture, and regardless of orientation, we know that people can…

Closertothelost = Genius. Enough said.

You know there are REAL geniuses out there, right?

I was talking to one of my friends from abroad when she got an email telling her she got a job as an Au Pair in Paris by Gare du Nord.  We’ve been writing “AHHH!” and “OH MY GOD”  to each other for like 10 minutes. I am sitting on my mom’s couch in my pajamas at 2:30 p.m. My heart actually hurts.  I think this is the moment I realize I’m going to stop waiting for shit to happen to me.

I want my tattoo now.

Either “on y va” on my wrist or “hang in there and be happy” on my foot. Or a GIANT portrait of my dog or whatever…

Tumblr should know that I am drunk alone watching Fly Away Home because I have NO FRIENDS in this stupid town.

The Civil Wars - “I’ve Got This Friend”

This is utterly delightful. Listen to this. You won’t be disappointed.

Recently discovered and LOVE.

I don’t ever remember trying to be successful. It just happened. I was only trying to survive. Much like a newly fertilized egg, I look now at some of the things I have done in life with astonishment.

Reblogging for Marlon’s ass. Inappropriate.

"This sentence has five words. Here are five more words. Five-word sentences are fine. But several together become monotonous. Listen to what is happening. The writing is getting boring. The sound of it drones. It’s like a stuck record. The ear demands some variety. Now listen. I vary the sentence length, and I create music. Music. The writing sings. It has a pleasant rhythm, a lilt, a harmony. I use short sentences. And I use sentences of medium length. And sometimes, when I am certain the reader is rested, I will engage him with a sentence of considerable length, a sentence that burns with energy and builds with all the impetus of a crescendo, the roll of the drums, the crash of the cymbals—sounds that say listen to this, it is important."
